Testing For ADD & ADHD

Attention Deficit Disorder and hyperactivity is one of the most frequently diagnosed conditions in children- often overly diagnosed.  The disorder is more common in males, and the typical onset is at 2-3 years old.  Inability to maintain attention, impulsivity,  over-activity, aggressiveness and social difficulties are often evident.

A number of various factors can contribute to the presentation and severity of Attention Deficit Disorder.  During the initial examination & intake, the naturopathic doctor will try to identify some of these causes, and may order laboratory tests to confirm .

With treatment, the intensity of symptoms will diminish and the child will perform better.  The condition may or may not completely resolve, but with compliance, improvements can always be made!
